Venturers are young people aged between 15 and 18 years old. Venturers are dedicated to fun and adventure while serving the community in the Scout way. You will make friends, have fun and learn new things through a wide variety of opportunities! 1st Victorian Sea Scout Venturers meet on Tuesday from 7 pm to 9 pm. We make occasional camping trips on weekends or during school holidays. There is always an adventure planned. A fun Tuesday night could include:
Masterchef night
canoeing and kayaking on Albert Park Lake
Boardgames nights
going to the movies or comedy shows
visiting places like Bounce and Clip and Climb
murder mystery nights and lots more!
Venturers also allow you to learn many new skills through the many courses you can do! Venturers give you the opportunity to get your nationally recognised Certificate II in Business, Certificate II - IV in Outdoor Recreation or First Aid Qualifications, learn how to operate a radio, learn how to sail, be a part of a Unit Council and many more! The ultimate goal of any Venturer is to achieve the Queen Scout Award, which can count towards your VCE results. We're not always in the hall, we love to get out and about.
