About Venturers
Venturers are young people aged between 14 and 18 years old, dedicated to fun and adventure, whilst serving the community in the Scouting way. Through a wide variety of opportunities you will make friends, have fun and learn new things!
1st Victorian Sea Scout Venturers meet on a Wednesday night from 7.30-9.30pm, as well as the occasional camping trip on a weekend or school holidays.
We have some great camps planned for This year including a hiking trip, a sailing regatta, rafting on the Murray River, attending state Jamborees, a survival camp and much more!
As well as many fun Wednesday nights doing activities such as Masterchef night, canoeing & kayaking on the Albert Park Lake, Games nights, visits to Andrew’s Hamburgers, going to the movies, visiting places like Bounce and Clip and Climb, murder mystery nights and lots more!
Venturers also gives you the opportunity to learn many new skills through the many courses you can do! Venturers gives you the opportunity to get your First Aid Qualifications, learn how to operate a radio, learn how to sail, be a part of a Unit Council and many more! The ultimate goal of any Venturer is to achieve the Queen Scout Award, which can count towards your VCE results.
